CHEMICALS

Chemical Compliance and Product Data Management

Prepare chemical product, substance, SDS, safety and supply-chain data for evolving EU chemical regulations, detergents rules and Digital Product Passports.

UCVreg helps chemical manufacturers, formulators, importers and industrial users structure substance compliance information, connect claims to evidence and maintain auditable regulatory records as EU requirements develop.

Regulatory Framework

The EU regulatory landscape for Chemicals

ESPR Chemicals Working Plan and Detergents DPP

Chemicals are identified as priority candidate intermediate products in the ESPR Working Plan 2025–2030, with preliminary preparatory studies underway. Concurrently, the revised EU Detergents Regulation introduces mandatory Digital Product Passports for all consumer and industrial detergent products.

Detergent passports will require ingredient data sheets, dosage instructions, biodegradability proof, microbial declarations and hazard classifications accessible via digital data carriers.

REACH Revision and Substances of Concern

Under ESPR Article 7, Digital Product Passports across all product categories must identify substances of concern (SVHCs, endocrine disruptors, persistent chemicals). Chemical formulators must provide structured full material disclosures (FMD) to downstream industrial buyers.

Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and CLP hazard notifications require rigorous version control linked to specific production batches and formulator revisions.

ESPR Digital Product Passport Workflow Pipeline

End-to-end verified workflow from supplier ingestion to EU market clearance

4-Step Verification
STEP 01

BOM & Material Ingestion

Supply Chain Data

Capture multi-tier fiber/material composition, recycled content ratios, and supplier test declarations.

STEP 02

Ecodesign Validation

ESPR & Durability

Verify product durability, SVHC chemical thresholds, microplastic limits, and Article 23 unsold rules.

STEP 03

DPP Registry Filing

Decentralized Gateway

Register cryptographic product passports on the EU DPP Gateway with role-based access permissions.

STEP 04

Data Carrier Verification

GS1 QR / 2D Matrix

Affix persistent 2D data carriers accessible to consumers, professional repairers, recyclers, and customs.

Operational Readiness

Where Chemicals compliance data breaks and how UCVreg supports readiness

Manage complex formulation revisions and trade secrets

The Challenge

Formulations change with raw material batches, while proprietary chemical recipes must be shielded from unauthorized disclosure.

How UCVreg Helps

Deploy granular role-based access control protecting confidential business information while publishing required safety data.

Track Substances of Concern across supply tiers

The Challenge

Downstream customers in textiles, electronics and automotive require instant confirmation of REACH SVHC candidate list additions.

How UCVreg Helps

Automate substance screening against official ECHA candidate lists with real-time impact analysis across active product recipes.

Deliver Detergents Regulation Digital Product Passports

The Challenge

Consumer and professional cleaning products require public digital ingredient lists and technical dossiers via QR codes.

How UCVreg Helps

Generate compliant Detergent DPP records linking formula codes, biodegradability evidence and multilingual packaging labels.

Maintain audit-proof SDS version histories

The Challenge

Updating Safety Data Sheets across multiple EU languages and regulatory jurisdictions creates significant compliance risks.

How UCVreg Helps

Store versioned safety documentation with SHA-256 integrity verification, ensuring audit-ready proof of historical compliance.
